Laura Paddock (Production Designer)
Laura Paddock is a New York artist who was drawn into production
design by Patti Podesta ("Momento", "Nowhere"),
while earning her MFA from Art Center. She started art directing
a slew of thesis films for grad students at USC and AFI, many of
which have received honors in the Angeles Awards and Colgate competitions.
Paddock now has ten indie features to be proud of, from HD to 35mm,
with subjects ranging from ghost stories in ghost towns, zombie
films, art world spins, father/son stories on location in rural
Texas, smart suburban dramas, to a B&W musical. She's also
had the honor of fabricating props on a number of projects, including
the featured paintings in Wim Wenders’ “Million Dollar
Hotel”, and carving the elves for Sony’s “Christmas
Windows".
Some of her short films include: "One Sung Hero", "Skylab", "Wednesday
Afternoon", "The Table", "Intermission", "Remember" and "Ask
Curtis". Her feature work includes: "Dr. Chopper", "Chloe", "Chathonic", "Molding
Clay", "Corpses", "Inside Out", "Malibu
Spring Break" and "All Or Nothing".
